Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended his wishes on the occasion of World Sanskrit Day and shared his greetings with the people in Sanskrit.
About ‘World Sanskrit Day’ –
- World Sanskrit Day, also known as Vishvasamskritadinam, is an annual event aimed to promote revival and maintenance of Sanskrit.
- It is celebrated on Shraavanapoornima, that is the Poornima day of the Shraavana month in the Hindu calendar. In the year 2022, this day was celebrated on August 12th.
- The Sanskrit organisation Samskrita Bharati is involved in promoting the day.
